The Governments across the Globe are spending huge amounts in software projects to adapt E-Governance for delivery of services to citizens. But Software's Chronic Crisis still exists due to less skilled Project Managers. There is an urgent need to train them and they should go for PMP to prove thier proficiency. I am also looking for case studies from more informative real-world situations.

We should be applying new ideas often. if you do "same old, same old" for too long, your organization might stay afloat long.

I don't know much about PMP certification offered by PMI but I do know that it is the one of the standards of Project Management very similar to PRINCE2, I suppose.

With all the Agile methodologies around, I think it is high time we start re-looking into the traditional Project Management methodologies (plan-driven) and enhancing them to fit the current global scenario.

Though this is the case, PMP certification is a very good first step for any Project Manager in this direction.

Looking forward to complete my PMP certification by E2007.
